About New Orleans

American Library Association's 2006 conference was the single most significant convention group to book New Orleans post Katrina.              Thank you ALA!

The ALA wanted big named entertainment for their annual scholarship bash.  We submitted many ideas of local music but it seemed nothing was available.  They eventually came back to us with the idea of having Mary Chapin Carpenter.  So we went to work immediately trying to secure Ms. Carpenter.  We managed to secure her and deliver the show inside their budget.  Below are photos of that performance.

We also brought in a popular local cajun band (Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band) to open the show.  With Mary Chapin's big hit about Louisiana music (Down At The Twist And Shout), the ALA was able to provide the theme as described in the graphic to the left.

After Mary Chapin's performance and for her encore, we brought out the cajun band to join in so she and the audience truly got to dance to a band from a Louisiane tonight!  Everyone in the audience got up and starting dancing through the isles.  It certainly was a performance to remember.
